About Us
Coppell Travel is located in Coppell, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and has been servicing the travel needs of Coppell, Valley Ranch and Irving since 1985. Because of our affiliation with SABRE, which is the largest travel booking and services firm in the world, we can help you with reservations of air, hotels, cars, transfers, etc. virtually all over the globe. Because of our relationships with the many tour companies around the world, we can offer our clients discounted rates of all segments of the travel process. We are members of IATAN (International Association of Travel Agents Network), ARC (Airlines Reporting Corporation), and CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association).
Our website allows the customer to book online virtually any trip they choose. Some trips are easy to book and some may seem a little more difficult. Because the internet is becoming such a significant part of how people are booking their vacations and business trips, we are trained to assist the internet traveler when there are issues that the internet cannot handle. We can now put a personal touch on your experience of walking you through the pitfalls of internet bookings.
We are also heavily involved in the booking of groups, honeymoons and destination weddings, incentive trips, and corporate travel. We are bonded and a fully accredited travel agency. Below, you will be introduced to our staff, who are specialists on Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Las Vegas and many other destinations. He is the big cheese, the head honcho, the man with the plan and the guy that makes things happen. He is the “Idea Guy” that has a tendency to think way outside the box to make things happen, and it usually does. He is heavily involved in business development and the representative of Coppell Travel at the Coppell Chamber of Commerce. He works constantly with Steve on marketing ideas and ways to grow the company in general. Before buying Coppell Travel in 1995, he owned a rep firm for home electronics equipment and was in that industry for 35 years. If he is not at Coppell Travel, he enjoys playing the stock market, photography, shopping and trying to keep up with 10 grandkids. We wish him luck!!

Steve Spalding – Co-Owner and Marketing Director

He will take over Coppell Travel if the “big cheese” (see above) ever gets sick of the travel business. Steve has been groomed to take over the family business for almost two years and has a long way to go (just kidding, kind of!). While learning the business, he creates and develops the marketing programs to grow the group business as well as run the in-house design and print shop. He also handles the promotional products division as well. And if that is not enough, he also maintains this website and looks forward to the day when all you customers book so much with us, he has to go fix the server to handle the volume. When not at the Agency, he loves any kind of sports, online gaming and believe it or not, is a world champion speed grape catcher! You will have to call about that one.

Jackie Floyed –Manager

This is OUR calendar girl!! If you have an event coming up, a birthday or scheduling a vacation, she will always write it in one of 365 little squares for everybody to see. Jackie has been with Coppell Travel for 5 years and is the lead consultant in the office. She is a certified specialist for Hawaii and Sandals properties and is our resident expert on weddings and honeymoon destinations. Even though she is not always visible, she is constantly handling the rigors of planning group trips. Her groups include cruises and well as land packages. She also is the backup for our accounting division. She works with marketing to obtain the current specials available and then informs our customers through our email software system. When not at Coppell Travel, Jackie likes to go hiking, camping, exploring, participate in church activities, travel (thank goodness) and penny drives (call for details).

Judi Samson – Travel Consultant

Judy is our mother hen of the office. She makes sure the office is locked after hours, we all eat our daily 1500 calories of sweets and we have band-aids when we cut our fingers. Judy is our in-house specialist for “custom and exotic” vacations. Judy also handles all types of cruises for all different types of ships. She will find places and things to do that are not advertised for the luxury traveler. She will back up Jackie handling groups and would occasionally help with internet bookings based on destination. Judy likes to take care of her grandkids, yardwork, reading mystery novels, cookbooks and, of course, travel.

Mike Lacy – Travel Consultant

Mike is our resident practical joker of the office. When he isn’t turning off our lights or putting firecrackers on our birthday cakes, he handles requests for cruises and land packages to Mexico, the Caribbean and Las Vegas, along with other all-inclusive destinations. Mike will also handle bookings and questions that come through www.coppelltravel.com. He will occasionally be the backup for group bookings assisting Jackie and Judy. When Mike isn’t at work, he likes to go hunting, spend time with his kids, attend Nascar events and, you guessed it, travel.

Therese Archuleta – Bookkeeping

Therese is our parttimer and I mean that in a good way. She actually works parttime! Therese handles all of our bookkeeping as well as database management. Other than cackling with Jackie in the back, Therese likes to play with grandchildren, read and watch all kinds of sports, especially her beloved Denver Broncos. |
